This week the Deysbrook Village Centre ESOL (English as a second language) 10 week course ended.

The course was facilitated by Bridge The Gap Training and the tutors Malik and Roisen, who worked with 30 students per week over 12 hours per week.

This course enabled the communities of West Derby and Yew Tree the opportunity to build relationships with a variety of adults from different cultural backgrounds.

The centre users, staff and volunteers also had the chance to taste and experience a range of enjoyable food and deserts from the ESOL students, showcasing their own dishes from their native homeland.

The food was delicious and the Deysbrook village centre users and ESOL students shared their meal on the last day of the course.

All the students expressed their gratitude to all Deysbrook centre users and staff for making them all feel really welcome throughout their course and they will miss their daily sessions in the Deysbrook Village Centre.

All the Deysbrook Village Centre wish them very well in their future in Liverpool.
