Food Pantry

 

The Deysbrook VC food pantry was established in partnership with The Big Help Project in October 2021 and officially opened by Peter Mitchell, the CEO of the Big Help Project, in November 2021. The initial start-up grant for the Pantry was provided by the Lotteries Awards 4 All (A4A) funding stream. This enabled the centre to physically establish, furnish, and stock the pantry before opening it to the community.

How the food pantry works.

  • The pantry is open every Tuesday - Thursday (10am – 12pm)

  • People can join the pantry for free and become members by filling in a membership form.

  • We offer a large selection of tinned, boxed, dried food, chilled and frozen food, cleaning products and hygiene items. All fresh fruit and vegetables are free.

  • Members can buy 10 items for £3.50
