Food Pantry

 

The Deysbrook VC food pantry was established in partnership with The Big Help Project in Oct 2021 and officially opened by Peter Mitchell, the CEO of the Big Help Project in November 2021. The initial start-up grant for the Pantry was provided by the Lotteries Awards 4 All (A4A) funding stream. This enabled the centre to physically establish, furnish and stock the pantry prior to opening to the community.

How the food pantry works.

  • The pantry is open every Tuesday - Thursdays (10am – 12pm)

  • People can join the pantry free and will become a member by filling in a membership form.

  • We offer a large selection of tinned, boxed, dried food, chilled and frozen food, cleaning products and hygiene items. (All fresh fruit and vegetables are free).

  • Members can by 10 items fir £3.50 or 15 items for £5

  • The staff and volunteers are funded by the lotteries A4A for the next 5 months (Aug 2022)
