On Thursday 21st August 2025 judges from North West in Bloom visited our centre to look at the progress and new additions to our community garden.

The Deysbrook Village Centre staff team explained that we were extremely fortunate to have the community payback clients, each week, helping us with our gardens.

The judges made some future recommendations but on the whole were delighted with the community garden and the impact it has on people in our community.

Whilst the judges were in the garden it was being used by the children from our HAF program.

The judges were joined by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Barbara Murray, Councillor John Prince, Trustee Doreen Eden, Neighbourhood manager Gail Goodwin and various members of Liverpool City Council who support the work in our garden by providing funding towards our plants.

At the end of the judging there was a beautiful cream tea provided for lunch.

Deysbrook Community Centre will know the results of the judgement in October.
